What causes autism???
iv checked loads of websites and they all say its unknown, but maybe they are out of date?and could a child who is almost 3, doesn't talk at all, can not explain or point at something he wants, can not communicate in anyway, i mean really hes like a baby, just crys when he wants something and you have to guess what that something is. also you have to feed him, could a child like that be helped? and someday be like a child his age?

What is your opinion on what causes autism?
There are many different opinions on what causes this disorder that has now reached " epidemic proportions" . Though no one seems to have any definative proof of any one thing, there are lots of theories. I am esp. interested in hearing attempts to tackle this question answered by parents, teachers, doctors and siblings of autistic people and if possible, any autistic person who is able to give their opinion. I would also like to hear from men and women who have been involved in scientific studies of this lifelong disability.

Does anyone agree with me pollution and chemicals causes autism, cancer, diabetes, and disorders.?
I believe that industrilization with its chemicals, pollution caused by factories, cars, trains, planes, vaccinations, hormones in foods, cigarettes, drugs has caused the problems we have today. Cancer was before very rare however its has been massively exacerbated by chemicals in the air. Diabetes and obestiy was also very rare however hormone induced food and abundance of food. It has been shown that people in more polluted areas develop autism. I think the government know this but doesnt want to publicize it because there will be chaos. Like if we disproved religion.

What are some theories of what causes autism?

What If Shots Cause Autism But Not Because of Chemicals But the Pain?
What if the shot causes autism, because of the pain? Many autistic children have sensory issues.Autism shows a strong genetic correlation in twin studies, but isn't a perfect correlation. What if some people have genes that cause these sensory issues, and then if you are exposed to the right trigger factors an intensely painful shot for example it leaves you emotionally traumatized, leading to withdrawal and subsequently a lack of development of social skills as a result of the traumatized mind shutting out people they subconsciously remind them of the doctor who gave them the shot and focusing all it's attention on what ever they find available to distract themselves from the trauma.Unlike classical autism typical asperger's syndrome cases that showing signs around 5 or 6 when the child enters school. A new kind of emotional trauma can take place here, peer rejection. Now think of posttraumatic stress disorder and how the symptoms would manifest in a child it seems an awful lot like autism. Just because the two conditions were discovered separately does not mean they do not have the same basis and if this were true it would then make sense to relabel autism " childhood posttraumatic stress disorder" .This would also fit with the tendancy for autism to start as a deterioration where a child loses skills they had before. People with PTSD often avoid certain thoughts, places, activities. It would be indistinguishable even perhaps to the child's conscious mind, at that age whether the child was simply avoiding the use of learned skills or if the child truly lost them.On top of that it would also explain the extremely unpredictable nature of the illness. A kid could keep encountering trigger after trigger and never speak. Another might be so traumatized they don't speak until they're 5 and then do better and wind up blending in, going to college, and even having friends in adulthood. Here an explanation could be a ceasation of traumatic incidents after the first extremely traumatic one.Have there been any studies examining this to see if rather than autism causing the sensory issues, the sensory issues interact with an environmental trigger creating emotional trauma and causing the autism? The present criteria for PTSD includes that the event would be upsetting to a normal person. This right here could be why people haven't considered this. There's no reason why being traumatized by something that would be unusual to find traumatizing would create a different response, chemically or physically than something considered usual. Trauma is trauma regardless of what it is to.Also just read people with PTSD remember their traumatic experiences visually and vividly. People without it remember bad experiences as narratives.People with autism tend to describe their brain as " thinking in pictures" or as having a " photographic memory" .Everything fits. I know the jury is still out, but from everything I've read and pieced together I'm feeling very sure that autism is PTSD, just where the traumatic event or events is often unnoticed because it would not traumatize most people. Cicely,1. But it would. I didn't say that ONLY pain from a vaccine could cause autism, just that this could explain why vaccinated babies suddenly come down with it. Other cases could be because of other sensory trauma i.e. exposure to a bright light, hearing a loud sound, or even the birthing process.4. Even so it would explain why this sometimes happens in cases of autism.5. Trauma is subjective. Just like two people might be in the same traumatic war experience and one might come out mostly emotionally unharmed and one might have PTSD the same might happen with children.6. For a child to be diagnosed with PTSD it has to be something most people would get upset not necessarily traumatized but upset over that they were traumatized by. This criteria is silly, because if someone were traumatized by something that is rare for a person to find upsetting there's no reason that trauma would not evoke the same biochemical response in the brain. Children with PTSD would not be calle...called autistic for obvious reasons they have a diagnosis that covers their problems . BUT if a child was traumatized say, by a glaring light, a painful vaccine, even getting bullied by their twin in the womb these " traumatic experiences" would be invisible to all but the child and even including the child if the child does not clearly remember the incident.7. I never excluded other possible traumas, just thought this might explain why kids who get vaccines often come down with autism.8. Bad coordination A traumatized person isn't likely going to feel like moving around too much or will move in a stereotyped, repetitive manner typical of autism . In either case the lack of practice itself would be enough to stunt motor coordination development. If you barely move much you don't get practice and if you always move the same way you don't practice certain movements.9. Fear can lead to lack of social understanding in the long run. If you are always feeling stressed or anxious you won't be able to pay attention to the world around you enough to absorb social skills.10. Some simple genetic disorders hemophilia there is. Autism is not one of them, indicating there are environmental factors.11. " Abuse" is easily identifiable as a source of trauma. If autism and Childhood PTSD are different then explain, what would happen if an infant who has sensory issues but is not autistic were given new clothes by their parents which were a new fabric that they happened to be painfully sensitive to to the point of it causing trauma and then the child withdraws socially in reaction to this? How would the parents or anyone know it was because of the new clothes and not because the child was autistic?12. It might seem like an odd reaction, but such is the nature of sensory oversensitivities. When it comes to things that set off trauma one size does not fit all.13. But you see " autism" and " PTSD" are basically words that describe a range of observed symptoms. Even if they
