My 15 year old daughter has sensory processing disorder and she is alittle bipolar but just a little it isnt srious but we dont want it to get to that point since mmy husband has it . She gets very stressed easily and she doesnt lke standing in lines so people don have ther shoulders touching her and she is very sensitive to dirty hands and shes always walked on her toes since she was born. she was also diagnosed wth lyme disease as a toddler and we got that taken care of. but she also put her bottom jas over her top one and pushes down then makes a moaning cry for a moment and she sayd it reales stress. and every now and then she makes those noises wthout realizing it. she also crys about anything and cant have certain textures in food and doesnt like anyone breathing on or near her . she also gets frusrtrated when trying to work even if shes doing great . she is amazing at art she paints pictures like you wouldnt believe and she sings wonderful but when someone complments her, it isnt enough then shel have a tantrum. her self asteem s extremely low and she has been bullyed and tortured since kindergarten . she is absolutley gorgeous an hour glass figure and boys can be all over her but girls call her whore slut and completley trash her facebook and shes deleted it several times but i know she has depression and the school never does anything. i just want to know if she has autism symptoms mixed wth her sensory and bipolar and maybe this s making her stress levels high and causing problems for her . she also fails school and can never sit still shes always ditching class and her grades are all under 50 so i took her put of school for awhile to pick herself up. i took her out of one state because she was tortured and moved and she is really stressed out about the moved to and im just trying to look out for her.
Is my daughter displaying autism symptoms?
my daughter is 18 months old. The lady in daycare always tells me to watch out cause she might be autistic. Her pediatrician didnt say anything about it.It bothers me that the daycare lady thinks she is showing signs because she screams a lot during transition like from playtime to eating time or eating time to nap time. Shes a very picky eater. She throws and plays with her food. She sometimes hits the back of her head gently in the wall of our room and laughs when she does this cause i get mad at her but she doesnt do that anywhere else. She says a lot of words compared to other kids her age. She can communicate and understand what i say. She loves to play, read, color and watch tv. For me, she seems very normal. Is it normal for kids her age to have tantrums during transition? is this autism symptoms that she has? need some enlightment on this thanks
16 month old autism symptoms?
HiMy 16 month old daughter is displaying symptoms of autism. No very little eye contact, doesn't answer to name, no pointing or gesturing, no speech or baby talk yet, flaps arms when excited, stares off in to space, loves opening and closing things, loves pressing buttons, doesn't interact or try to with anyone. But its the smiling thing that has got me confused..she doesn't really smile unless shes truly happy when her dad comes home from work, on the swing, peek a boo, tickling, these are all things that make her smile and flap her arms. Other than that she has zero expression... but lately I've noticed if we do something that i assume makes her happy, she'll almost smile then stop herself, i can see her eyes smiling and her mouth just about to break into a smile but then its like she forces herself not to... This disturbs me why is she stopping herself from smiling?
Are these early autism symptoms? Please help. Only serious answers please?
We have a little baby boy in the family who is now 14 months old. Some of us have detected some behaviors that seem a bit odd. Even though he does recognize faces there are a lot of things that he does and doesn't do that trouble us and we would like to know if these are an early sign of autitsm or possibly another disorder. I will just provide a list of what he does and doesn't do to make things easier. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Remember he is now 14 months old.Does Recognize faces. When you ask him " where's grandma" he does turn towards the direction she is etc. Makes bubbling sounds using his lips. He is a suspiciously quiet baby rarely cries. He stands as of know, he didn't walk.Doesn't do He hasn't walked yet. He hasn't " talked" yet no clear mama or papa dada sounds. He doesn't reach out his arms in order to be picked. When he sits in his little baby chair he rocks constantly back and front for excessively long periods of time and with great force. When he stands in his baby bed he usually moves from one foot to the other in a left right motion. we found these behaviors alarming Important detail All of this time the 14 months the baby has been sitting in front of the tv for hours on end. We told the parents that that is not healthy but they dismissed it their excuse is that the baby sees the colors and everything and he likes it . When he is sitting in front of the tv and you " get in his face" to say hello or whatever, he pushes you away. Are these behaviors normal? Or should we keep a closer eye for possible autism?
Common autism symptoms?
Ok, so my cousin is nine months old. He doesn't react when his name is called and often plays with his hands. Also he doesn't seem very concentrated when you try to draw his attention. My aunt is kinda worried he might have autism, I was wondering if you knew anything about autism sign and if they apply to my cousin.
