Reliable information on adhd and autism
I have adhd and autism my doctor gave me some medication (Ritalin) and I am in big school trouble?
Ok this is my 2nd month, recently I've felt very very aggressive, I'm 14 years old. But 2 days ago, the school bully started beating me up during PE class, so without control I think its my medicine , I punched back and got in a huge fight. The principal said he may expel me if I don't tell him why I attacked back. Way before I took the medicine, that same bully and many bullies punched me, and I just got beat up. But this time I got in a huge fight, and we're hurt really badly. I need serious help, the principal is very very angry, and my mom is not sure if its the medication

Why do people say that ADHD and Autism are similar?
As a person with adhd I find it kind of peculiar. I've heard that ADHD, Tourettes, OCD, and Autism are all in the same area of the brain, and where you have one of these disorders it's likely you have one of the others as well. and I do have mild tourettes and tonight I was looking up famous people with autism aspergers, and came across a certain page where they listed Mozart, and in parenthesis, added could be adhd instead .How are aspergers autsim anything like ADHD?

Can a differential diagnosis be made between ADHD and Autism?
It's troublesome that I fit the criteria for both of these disorders but one is normally chemical and the other structural as far as I know. How is anyone supposed to know what I actually have from questionaires? It's difficult for them since I am also highly intelligent and slightly prescient at times for unknown reasons. I can't really explain how I know certain things, but I am definitely a non linear thinker. It's just frustrating that the English language cannot properly express some of my experiences despite having a large vocabulary. What am I supposed to tell them, that I observe patterns around me and somehow calculate how certain things are going to happen? I don't know how to assist these people in helping me function better...
What is the earliest age a diagnosis is made between ADHD and Autism?
My three year old drives me crazy I have 3 boys so I know what the norm is . My pediatrician doesn't want to pursue anything due to his age. She said that ADHD and Autism run hand in hand that we may miss it completely. While I respect that, I am still in the same place with a 3 almost 4 year old that at the end of the day am thankful he is FINALLY in bed. Birth history born via vaginal delivery at 34 weeks gestation with normal deliveryrespiratory distress syndrome in which he ventilator for 1 week C pap 4 days. ...no formula was usedNicu stay was 2 weeksDuring the next 4 weeks while nursing he had periods of apnea and projectile vomitingNG tube was placed for 4 months with rigorous feeding therapydx of severe GERDDue to the severe GERD, on Nexium until this past yearFails to maintain any eye contact whatsoever Even when I have got down on my knees and cupped my hands so that there is no peripheral vision...lack of sleep where I understand some children do not nap....he will go to bed at 7 30 and get up multiple times and definitely asleep by 8 30 and get up at 4 30 and sometimes earlier than thatthings have got to be a certain way..ie....shirt has got to go on before the pants, food can not touch, not recognizing danger..ie...walks out of the house at night we now have locks

Are mild ADD, ADHD, and Autism mistaken as "Disorders", or are they simply another way of thinking?
I have ADHD and, through my observations, have found that it may be nothing more than a different " configuration" for how a person thinks. Many people with mild ADD, ADHD, and Autism have very good recollection from long term memory, as with borderline photographic memory. I believe that this may be due to the number of relative connections between memories. A person will see a frying pan, but may remember being burned as a child, thus relating the object not only with food satisfaction , but also with heat pain and a certain level of importance degree of caution used . The more relative connections between different memories that are made, the more creative that the person seems to be. This is a general observation from my personal study of cognitive thought processes, conducted for over 15 years. With those who have mild ADD, ADHD, or Autism, the cognitive processes seem to be accelerated. I can remember almost every experience from all the way back to 3.5 months of age.
